Protein Foods To Help Lower Carbohydrate Intake

 

Here is a list of allowable foods for lowering blood glucose levels in Type 1 Diabetics. I read this information from a review from Dr Richard Bernstein, himself a Type 1 diabetic for 60 years.

ALLOWABLE FOODS -

Red meat Mushrooms

White meat Green beans

Fish, chicken, turkey Zucchini

Cheese

Eggs Silver beet

Plain/natural yoghurt Broccoli

Avocado Cabbage

Green apple Lettuce

Cherries Capsicum

Cucumber

Celery

Unsalted cashews, Brazil nuts, walnuts

Soy powder for protein drinks

Protein bars

Green tea
