Trying To Get To a Yoga Class After a Hypo

This was the day of my Yoga class that I had been looking forward to all week, and my friend was to pick me up to go to the 6pm class. Progress through the day had been unsteady with my blood glucose levels (BGL) ranging from 8 to 12 BGL and then dropping back to 4 BGL by 3pm, leaving two and a half hours to recover before my friend arrived.

Worst Hypo Event Ever

Discriminatory Medical One-Liners Spoken To Me

Having encountered many types of ignorance about Type 1 Diabetes from various sectors since my diagnosis in 1992, I thought it would be worthwhile to show some of the adverse comment which I have received regarding my condition. To say the least, I felt their comments were only comparable to the sometime lack of knowledge in our society about the daily suffering that is endured with a permanent long-term disease such as Type 1 Diabetes.

Trying To Have A Pathology Test

The following situation came about due to a misunderstanding as to whether I was meant to have a fasting or non-fasting blood test and this same event had occurred several times before.
